Wu Dawei, China's special representative for Korean Peninsula affairs, will pay a visit to the United States next week, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Friday.

Wu has been invited by Glyn Davies, the U.S. special representative on Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) policy, to make the visit, Hua said at a daily press briefing in Beijing.

She said the two sides will exchange views on the maintenance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, as well as the denuclearization of the peninsula.
