According to the Chinese consulate general in New York, a female student from China was injured in the Boston Marathon explosions. Zhou Danling is studying in Boston University. She's now receiving treatment in a local hospital.

Zhong Ruiming, Consul General of Chinese Consulate General in New York, said, "We've visited Zhou Danling in hospital, and expressed our concern to her health. The doctor said Zhou's stomach was injured, and she had surgery yesterday. She is in stable condition now, and the injury is not life-threatening. According to Zhou, there were two other students with her watching the marathon. One of the students is identified as Lyu Lingzi, the other is Qian Tingting. Qian Tingting is safe now. Lyu Lingzi is still missing. We've asked local hospitals to help find her. Meanwhile, we've reached out to unions for overseas Chinese students, and started a comprehensive search to locate her using all means."
