Continuing with the theme of Chinese TV, a series of epic proportions is in the making! "Legends of Song and Dance" tells the story of cultural exchanges between the Tang dynasty and the Kingdom of Myanmar some 1200 years ago. It promises to be a feast for the senses when it hits our TV screens.

After four years of elaborate planning, production of the "Legends of Song and Dance" has finally begun. The series is being shot in the ancient city of Pugam, home to the imperial palace and a once mighty empire. The city is rich with cultural heritage, especially its Buddhist relics and temples.

Jiang Xiaorong said, "Our costumes match the ancient buildings here perfectly!"

The story centers around the prince of Myanmar visiting China during the Tang dynasty, accompanied by a troupe of musical performers . It aims to bring to life the fascinating history of the period, and how the southern silk road promoted exchange between civilizations. But that has not been an easy task for its director, working with a multilingual cast.

Yu Rongguang, director of "Legends of Song and Dance", said, "Our script is in three languages, Chinese, the Myanmar language and English. We arrange our shooting around it and make adjustments on the set."

This is the first joint TV series production between the two countries, and the Myanmar government highly values it. The participants hope it will pave the way for further cultural exchanges in the future.
