The Chinese version of "Iron Man 3" is set to hit cinema screens on May 3, featuring an exclusive appearance from one of China's top actresses Fan Bingbing.

Co-produced by U.S. Marvel Studios and China's DMG Entertainment, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., while featuring two Chinese A-listers, including Wang Xueqi and Fan Bingbing, who play the roles of a doctor and nurse, respectively.

Wang's role "Dr. Wu" was specially created by DMG for the latest installment, DMG president Wu Bing said, indicating the possibility of "Dr. Wu" appearing in other superhero series by Marvel.

In the film that is partially shot in China, Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark who embarks on a journey of retribution searching and fighting his enemy.
