Mistress, bribes blamed

2013-03-26 10:06 Global Times     Web Editor: Wang Fan comment

The CPC Shandong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection announced on Monday that Shan Zengde, former deputy head of the provincial department of agriculture who wrote a letter promising to divorce his wife and marry his mistress, has been fired and expelled from the Party.

The commission said Shan was fired for accepting bribes and his extramarital affair.

The commission, which started an investigation into the case after the handwritten letter was posted online in late November, said the case has been transferred to the judiciary for further investigation.
