Zhou Qiang was elected president of the Supreme People's Court at the annual session of the 12th National People's Congress Friday morning.

Zhou, born in April 1960, is currently a member of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee.
