NPC agenda for March 14

The following is Thursday's agenda for the first session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature.

-- The NPC session will hold its fourth plenary meeting to elect leaders and members of the NPC Standing Committee, president and vice president of the state, and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China. They will also vote on a draft resolution on the plan of institutional reform and functional transformation of the State Council.

-- Delegations to the NPC session will hold meetings on Thursday afternoon to deliberate on the candidates for the premier, vice chairpersons and members of the CMC, as well as the country's top justice and procurator.

-- Officials with a State Council office in charge of medical and healthcare system reform will hold a press conference at the session's media center on Thursday afternoon.
