For the latest on the aftermath of the bridge collapse in Henan province, locals of Mianchi County have reported that a river near the bridge has turned red.

The river provides drinking water to nearby villages, and the abnormal color has led to concern from local villagers. Local environmental protection authorities say they have been closely monitoring the water quality in the river. So far, monitors have picked up no trace of water pollution.
