A woman who dragged a parking lot employee to death in Xicheng district Sunday was detained by local police for suspected malicious injury, the Beijing News reported.
The 28-year-old female driver, surnamed Yang, fled the scene after the tragedy. She was arrested on Tuesday in Huludao, Liaoning Province.
A witness surnamed Sun said the woman did not want to pay 40 yuan ($6.4) for parking, and sped away with the victim still hanging onto her Land Rover's door handle.
