Chinese boxer Zou Shiming is taking his career to the next level. The two-time Olympic light flyweight champion and three-time World Amateur Champion for his weightclass, announcing on Wednesday that he is turning professional. Something he says is a longtime dream come true.

With absolutely nothing left to prove in the amateur ranks, Zou steps into the professional world ready to chase a world title. Zou has signed on with hall of fame promoter Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing in the States, which should ensure he gets his chance to climb the ranks quickly. The 31 year old Zou, whose trademark is his blinding speed and exceptional footwork, is set to make his professional debut in Macau on April 6th.

Zou Shiming, Two-Time Olympic Champion, said, "My final goal is to win the World Championship Belt. It would be a success for my team. But everything to come will be history.

For myself, I have been a boxer for many years. If I hadn't of had a professional fight in my career, I would regret it. So, I just want to realize my childhood dream now."
