Chinese experts for technical support on SEA Games

A 24-member Chinese expert group arrived here Saturday to provide a full range of equipment and technical support for opening and closing ceremonies of the Myanmar-host 27th Southeast Asian Games (SEA) slated for Dec. 2013.

The group led by Sun Xiaohong was dispatched by the Chinese government for a four-day visit.

The group consists of director, song composer, stagecraft and other experts in the field who are the top ones having extensive experience in the planning and staging the opening and closing ceremonies of major sporting events.

The group's visit to Myanmar covers venue-site field trip to understand, and discuss the specific issues of cooperation between the two sides.

In December 2012, 28 Chinese coaches were dispatched to Myanmar to train the country's athletes for a period of 12 months totally at cost covered by the Chinese government while staying in Myanmar.
