In the Chinese Basketball Association, the Beijing Ducks went on the road against the Guangdong Southern Tigers on Tuesday night.

The Ducks looked to consolidate their leading position on top of the standings in a rematch of the CBA finals last season, when Beijing claimed a 4-1 series victory over Guangdong to grab their first ever championship title.

Yi Jianlian was the biggest change Guangdong made to their squad this season. The Chinese international returned from the Dallas Mavericks after spending the last six years in the NBA.

Under the guidance of Yi, Guangdong took a 4-point lead early in the second quarter. But Beijing came back with their big signing Li Gen showing off his talent.

Li sank two consecutive triples to put the defending champs on top by two. But Yi picked up the slack for Guangdong. He had 25 points and 8 rebounds on the night.

Ike Diogu, with 19 points overall, extended the lead to five. Guangdong pulled it away late in the third, but Stephon Marbury cut the deficit to one with eight consecutive points.

Marbury finds Randolph Morris for the jam. Beijing came back in front. The Ducks then crept away to build a 5-point lead. Morris had 35 on the night. Marbury led Beijing with 31 points, four assists and six steals as the Ducks downed Guangdong 110-100.
