The Eastern Qing Tombs of north China's Hebei province will attract more tourists with the help of a campsite and motorcycle center to be built nearby.

Yang Ran, manager of the 878 Tourism Base, said plans are in place to build camping and motorcycle-related facilities at the scenic spot in order to develop the local touristm industry in Yixian county, located close to Beijing.

The facilities are expected to eventually become an international tourist attraction gradually, Yang said.

Provincial authorities have introduced several new tourist attractions to boost the province's economy, including the Inmusic Festival in Zhangbei county.

The rock festival earned the county 210 billion yuan (33.6 million U.S. dollars) in tourism revenues this year.

A new ski resort is also under construction in the province, a local official said, adding that the resort will be the largest of its kind in the area surrounding Beijing.
