NYU celebrates opening

New York University Shanghai held a ceremony Monday afternoon to mark its opening.

During the ceremony, the university announced its plans to recruit its first 300 students for the fall 2013 semester. Of the 300, 151 are from Chinese mainland.

A detailed enrollment plan will be announced by the end of the month. Tuition is estimated to cost 100,000 yuan ($15,955).

The Shanghai campus is NYU's third campus along with New York and Abu Dhabi.
