18th CPC National Congress to create new opportunities

With the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China around the corner, China started accepting interview applications from domestic and foreign media outlets on Oct. 9, saying that reporters are welcome at the congress regardless of nationality.

Why does the CPC National Congress always attract worldwide media attention? Because it is under the CPC's leadership that China is playing an increasingly important and constructive role in promoting world peace and development. After decades of rapid and stable economic development, China has become the world's second largest economy, and a key engine driving global economic growth.

The CPC National Congress is the "preface" to the "chapter" of reform and opening-up, and the milestone marking China's progress.
