The man, who arrived from Brazil, was stopped for luggage examination while in transit to Zhuhai by ferry. Officers found the drug in a false compartment of his suitcase.

He will be charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts this morning.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, drug trafficking is a serious offense. The maximum penalty is up to life imprisonment and a fine of 5 million HK dollars.
