The white paper on Diaoyu Islands, issued by the Chinese government earlier this week, hit the market Friday, asserting China's indisputable sovereignty over the island and its affiliated islets.

The white paper, published in Chinese, English and Japanese, has been issued both at home and abroad.

Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islets are an inseparable part of the Chinese territory. It is China's inherent territory in all historical, geographical and legal terms, and China enjoys indisputable sovereignty over Diaoyu Island, the white paper says.

The white paper was released by the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China on Tuesday.
