Fleeing driver detained

A driver was detained by local police for obstructing a law enforcement officer Tuesday, according the Shanghai Evening News.

A traffic police officer stopped the man for a violation that afternoon. When the officer approached the vehicle to examine the man's license, the driver stepped on the gas. The officer was dragged 10 meters before subduing the driver with pepper spray. However, he didn't notice the driver's son was also in the car. The child and the officer were both fine after getting checked out later at a hospital.
