5.6-magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan region at 9:08 Beijing Time on Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center(CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was monitored at 22.4 degrees north latitude and 121.4 degrees east longitude, the center said.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted Taiwan region on Wednesday.
