Unemployed woman main suspect in prostitution case

The local public security bureau confirmed that the main suspect of a junior middle student prostitution case in Yongkang, Zhejiang province, is a woman in her early 20s.

A total of 10 suspects involved in the case have been arrested, according to Qianjiang Evening News.

The main suspect, born in 1991 and surnamed Chen, is unemployed and has a criminal record. She is alleged to have introduced young prostitutes and students to adult men clients since February 2011.

Students involved in the case were mainly middle school students, who will be educated and received minor punishments, Wu Wenwei, director of the political department of the Yongkang public security bureau, told the Qianjiang Evening News.

A deputy chief surnamed Shu from the education bureau of Yongkang said that not only schools, but families and the whole of society need to pay more attention to protect juvenile students.
