Air-rail travel update

2012-05-29 18:08 Global Times     Web Editor: Zang Kejia comment

Ninety-two trains will be available to rail passengers traveling on the air-rail packages offered by Shanghai Railway Bureau and China Eastern Airlines tomorrow, up from the 22 trains offered on May 5, when the cheaper combined-transport option was introduced.

The air-rail packages include trains from Hangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and Ningbo, and flights from Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Plans to extend the service to serve more cities in the Yangtze River Delta are in the pipeline.
