Fake bank notes beware

Local residents are advised to watch out for counterfeit bank notes, after a series of fake bills in circulation around the city have been discovered by authorities, police said yesterday.

The notes have serial numbers that begin with the letters "JA," which is a code that has not been officially put into use, said authorities. Local residents are also encouraged to report findings of counterfeit bills to authorities.
