On May 6, a couple in Beijing held a helicopeter wedding. This is the first time that helicopters have been used for wedding in Beijing.

As the helicopter agent, an affiliate of Hainan Airlines, Capital Helicopter introduced, when they reported the flying routes to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, they were told to change the original route plan due to low altitude flight control policy. However, on the day of the wedding, they received a notice of cancellation of the temporary low altitude flight control. The couple flew over the Bird's Nest as planned.

Capital Helicopter is the only company providing low altitude flight services in Beijing. Their services also include medical assistant, air rescue, air photography and this is their first time to provide helicopter for wedding.

As the company's staff introduced, the helicopter used for this wedding belongs to European helicopter series. The flight is AS350B3, with six seats in the cabin, two for the pilots and four for the new couple and flight assistants.

The company needs to get approval three days in advance from relevant departments such as the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Beijing International Airport and the Tongzhou Airport.

The discounted rate for this wedding is 50,000 yuan, including flying services and cost for preparation and approval. The flight costs 30,000 per hour.

The company also has clear rules about physical conditions of the passengers. Passengers need to take a medical check before booking the service, to make sure they don't have symptoms like high blood pressure or acrophobia.
