Australian side Central Coast Mariners trounced Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda 5-1 in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday.

The Mariners came out of the shadow of a 5-0 loss to South Korean club Seongnam in their last match to dominate Tianjin in every way and now face Japanese club Nagoya Grampus for a berth in the knockout stages.

Daniel McBreen opened the scoring in the 10th minute and put the Mariners two goals up 10 minutes later.

Josh Rose and Michael McGlinchey doubled the Mariners' advantage before Liao Bochao pulled one back for the visitors in the 73rd minute.

Mustafa Amini competed the Mariners' tally by blasting home at the 86th minute.
