Degraaf Hank who participated in the "Air transport mission over the Hump" is the only living member of 93 years old of the American Volunteer Group (AVG) famously nicknamed the "Flying Tigers" which fought Japanese aggressors together with Chinese people in the air over China and Burma during the World War II.

In early April, 2012 Hank came to China again with more than 20 relatives of his formal comrades-in-arms to pay a visit to the tombs of his lost comrades-in-arms and relatives.
