Foreign Ministers of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) will meet for talks on trilateral cooperation over the weekend, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Friday.

The meeting, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Ningbo city of east China's Zhejiang Province, will be chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Hong Lei said at a regular news briefing.

"The Foreign Ministers will exchange their views in an in-depth way on developments and the future direction of cooperation between the three nations, preparations for the fifth trilateral meeting among leaders of China, Japan and ROK, and regional and international issues among others," said the spokesman.

"(We) believe that the trilateral meeting among foreign ministers of the three nations will come up with positive results through their joint efforts," he added.
