A Tibetan nun in Sichuan Province died on the way to hospital after setting herself on fire, local officials confirmed Monday.
The nun has been identified as Tenzin Choedron, a 19-year-old nun at Siwa Nunnery in Aba Prefecture, which borders the Tibet Autonomous Region.
She was taken by rescuers to hospital after she set herself alight Saturday evening.
