Film directors Sun Jianjun and Robert Francis Brown unveiled Tuesday in Dubai parts of the filming of the 100-million-yuan (about 15.8 million U.S. dollars) action and fashion movie "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains."

As the first Chinese film to be predominantly produced outside China, the movie has international celebrities Andy Lau, Chiling Lin and newcomer Jingchu Zhang in its main roles and will be shot in six cities: Dubai, Hangzhou, Fuyang, Taipei, Tokyo and Milan.

The film's key scenes will be filmed at the Atlantis hotel, The Palm and other Dubai landmarks including the seven-star hotel Burj Arab and the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa.

Speaking at a press conference in Atlantis on the man-made island Jumeirah, Sun stressed the "unique fantasy style" of the sheikhdom of Dubai, "making it an ideal location for film shots."

Asked if he wants to compete with "Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol," co-produced by its main actor Tom Cruise, Sun replied that "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" will be even more breath- taking.

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) helped the crew to set up in the Atlantis Hotel and to get approvals for shooting at landmark places.

Saleh Al Geziry, Director of Overseas Promotions and Inward Missions at the DTCM said Dubai was proud to be part of the film, and that this partnership was a sign of proof of the growing relationship between the United Arab Emirates and China.

Serge Zaloof, Hotel Manager of the Atlantis, told Xinhua that guests will not be disturbed by the shooting. "We expect the opposite: guests will be amazed to be part of some scenes. Also, with 1,539 rooms our hotel is large, so that we always find angles for fighting or fashion scenes. For the security of the actors, exact dates will not be announced when there is a scene shooting."
